No offence OP but that was hard to understand.

Just had a look and they do have league games in between the championship games in Cork but it seems that the most any team has played since May is 2 games. I can see your point of view OP but you would want to hear the whinging that goes on in Dublin.

Come the weekend most football teams in Dublin will have between 10-12 league matches played, the first round of the championship played and the Junior Championships are at semi-final stage. People are still giving out about the fixtures. This has been the best year ever in Dublin for fixtures. Games are generally played when the master schedule says they will, if teams want to switch a game they can with the oppositions agreement but it must be within 7 days either side of the original fixture otherwise the game will not be switched. There is now a four week break coming up which the players have known about since February so they can plan their holidays without fear of missing important matches. Now I would not say it's perfect but it's still very good.

I would be interested to hear what other counties club fixture schedules are like.

It is being held up by the Cork footballers and hurlers - those players are not released by the management and clubs don't want to play without those players. The fixtures committee know that so they organised the games on free weekends. If ended up badly for the footballers because they are in the back door

Also this year the format was changed, which I think has made it even longer

Would they not play league games to keep the non inter county players playing?
