Black Panther Case

did we ever get a definitive answer on the outcome of this? Why the case was dismissed, etc.

I havent heard much about it myself but Im curious as to the circumstances: why it was thrown out, how it was thrown out, how it was originally filed, etc.

My attempts to google this have come up with the typical partisan insanity; he said/she said; spin zone nonsense. Very few cold facts.

    Obama is black.

Therefore anything involving black people is automatically the expressed design and desire of the white hating Barack Obama.

    Therefore Obama is black.

seriously though. Im interested in the particulars.

    Don't  me!

Its a rough approximation of the logical processes of the conservative mind, with relation to Barack Obama. I apologise for its lack of sophistication.

Anyway, back to figuring out what the particulars are, I'm rather interested myself.

Out of curiosity, I just typed in 'Obama black panther' and in all honesty, I haven't the stomach to wade through it today.

^ Thats why I ask the Boards. I got naseous after the 9th or 10th editorial; none of which really appeared to have anything concrete to say on the matter. Though Glenn Beck's best evidence was Character Assassination of the Black Panthers - not that it was necessary; I would have just preferred talk about Voter Intimidation, not Black Power and actual Marxism (which to be fair is a refreshing change from the last couple months of supposed, hidden super-secret-muslim marxism).

Throwing "voter intimidation" into the mix brought up this link I wasn't afraid to click on....

I tried to find a short article from Philadelphia (where the incident of voter intimidation happened) without all the opinions for you. Hope this helps. Doesn’t go very into depth, but does hit some of the highlights.
    http://www.examiner.com/x-37739-NY-Political-Buzz-Examiner~y2010m7d6-DOJ-race-related-corruption-may-be-cause-of-dropped-New-Black-Panther-voter-intimidation-case
I remember seeing it unfold on the local TV news station as it happened.

Just watch… some group of white supremacists will do exactly the same as the New Black Panthers did, come next election. They will demand the same treatment. Of course Holder will try the white group to the hilt, which will breed a whole new level of racial hatred between blacks and whites. As I said before Holder blew it in this case, but then again... maybe it is exactly what Obama wanted to draw attention away from all his failures and unpopular successes. Or his way to guarantee the black vote. The NAACP defends the actions of these two Philadelphia voter intimidators.

would you like to amend that spelling

You are correct, that's why there is such an outcry for an investigation into the DOJ at the current time. But from the information out there it does not look good for Holder right now.

Meantime there is an absurd amount of punditry about it - which is almost amusing because nobody knows anything(!)

Actually, who it looks bad for is the Bush DOJ, like almost everything it did under his watch: http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2010/07/michael-mukasey-and-the-new-black-panthers.html

So you laud the work of this 24 year old kid who has less than a year’s worth of real experience and relies on shoddy information, that Newsweek hires to make political hit pieces? Figures!

I wonder if he ever finished Journalism 101. Sure doesn't seem like it. Newsweek should be ashamed of itself.

Maybe Stephen King might start to write some political pieces... The next great Liberal instant journalist and political expert?

    Hang on a minute:
Graham links to five stories at three different sites–Hot Air, Michelle Malkin, and Red State–as proof that conservative blogs “can’t get enough.” He mentions that the incident was caught on tape but, strangely, doesn’t include the footage on the page or even recommend that his readers view it. Could it be that the sight of a man brandishing a baton in front of a polling place is a bit too incriminating for the narrative he’s trying to spin?

But from the article being criticized:
In 2008, a lone white voter reported he had encountered two black men dressed all in black, one carrying a nightstick, at his Philadelphia polling place in a predominantly black neighborhood. The armed man was escorted away by police, and no one reported the incident to the local district attorney. But the incident was caught on camera, making it great fodder for cable news because political campaigns were actively scouting
It is included. So what, Amerika, is your article even getting at? Can they read or understand what a Hyperlink is? I do this all the time of course. And you all click. you know you do. I don't have to tell you to click, or endorse the clickity-ness of the clickuation. You just click, and explore. To say that I need to reccomend you click on everything I hyperlink is as ridiculous as a cat playing a piano. Dubiously ironic given the number of hyperlinks in his own article.

I daresay all John Sexton does with his article is reinforce the idea that the Right is trying to spin this around like a UFO Firework.

So Overheal, how are average readers supposed to know that "great fodder" or "for cable news" is the click-through that gets them to the voter intimidation video, without the benefit of an Enigma machine? Looks mighty disingenuous on the part of Graham to me.

Obama has ex-black panthers working in his department of justice. Obama is also form the same religious background as the panthers. Luney black nationist christianity.

Or searching for a witches snipe perhaps? Вы соглашаетесь?

Highly doubt the average online user would gleam that to be the vid, just from the info provided in the article.

Whatever guy. If you want to believe the average person is an idiot, thats your business. I think you're doing nothing but trying to throw the topic off the rails.

Thanks for linking to the article, Nodin.

Because most will never hear about it from the mainstream media, a recent investigation into the matter shows there was White House interference behind the dismissal of the New Black Panther charges.

Obama = black = black panthers = terrorism = muslim.

I'm just reading the subtext. Thats the kind of tripe the Republicans want to instill in the average US republican, isn't it?
