    Anyone use it?

Is it as effective as ordinary lime?

What time of year do you apply it?

How much does it cost per ton?

Dept deem it to be 3 times more effective so only need 1 ton for every 3 ton of ground limestone.... but.... ground lime delivered and spread costs €20/ton, the gran lime costs €190/ton and you still have to spread it. That ended my research on it;)

As alredy said way too expensive for what it is, If you spread CAN 27.5%N what do you think is in the other 72.5%?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

gran lime is available @ € 130 per ton for 6 ton order

it has it's uses but needs to be applied annually and need to be spread early spring

Now that is a good bit cheaper than €190 per ton.

One handy use I can for it is broadcasting it with seed when reseeding wet land. One or two 50kg bags to the acre rather than 1 ton of ground limestone shouldn't boil up the land too much. That's just a hunch and have no evidence to back that up.

Granulated lime is a high cost short term fix
High cost €200/tonne and lasts 1 year in the soil
Grolime or ground limestone manufactured to Dept of Agriculture standards costs approx €20/tonne spread and lasts 5 years in the soil
Thats what Teagasc advisors tell me
