I made a thread about 4 months ago about my graphics card. A poster recommended the site pixmania.ie as a place to buy a better graphics card. I bought a MSI Radeon HD 5850 but its been 4 months and it still hasn't come yet. On the web site the availability date of the card is constantly being put back when it eventually reaches the new date it is put back again..

It always has the line: "Your package is in the process of being prepared by our logistics department and will be sent as quickly as possible. ".

But its been 4 months now and im gettng worried. Iv'e thought of it as a reputable site as a fellow boardsie recommended it and they are always emailing me the latest offers.

Holy crap! This might sound stupid but have you tried e-mailing them or ringing them about it because that sounds a bit ridiculous. No way would I wait more than a few weeks let alone 4 months!!

I bought a tv and a steam cleaner from them. Both came within the week. I would say they're reliable.

as another boardsie said, google "pixmania customer service" and you'll see loads of unhappy customers.

How have you even waited 4 months? I would be cancelling it after 2 weeks. Plenty of other places selling them so I would go about getting your cash back.

Wrong forum, but I'm intrigued to know if you ever told them about it. Perhaps there was a glitch in the matrix and your order for a €300 gfx card  never got processed. Have you been charged, btw?

I've used them before and found them reliable, but I definately wouldn't be waiting for four months.

Bought a €1000 camera from them and it arrived within 3/4 days. No complaints from me.

You'd better keep an eye on your statements to make sure they do!

I never had a problem. The thing with these sites, even though they have an "ie" domain, they are based in Europe or some other country. I think pixmania is based in France.

I purchased my Tv/Monitor of them before, shipping a little pricey but otherwise very fair for me. However I've recently ordered in a menagerie of new computer parts and will let you know how it goes. I sure as hell wont be waiting 4 months anyways!!

The problem with Pixmania is generally not with their delivery, most of the orders I have placed arrived promptly. The problem with them is if something goes wrong, they are an absolute nightmare to deal with.

I would never order from them again after I received an empty box instead of a camera. It took months and numerous phone calls and emails to sort it out.
