I have a few hundred old English and Irish penny's. They're made of copper aren't they? What would they be worth?

Scrap value would be nil as is by weight. I suspect that a dealer would give you a couple of Euros for them. If you have the patience try checking them against these links and remember that condition is everything.

    Irish pennies: http://www.irishcoinage.com/MODCAT.HTM#modpe

    A charity shop perhaps?

    remember that condition is everything.
And by this I think he means that if you don't clean it, it may be worth more than if it was clean

Plus unless a coin is extremely rare its condition needs to be very good to be worth anything much. Pennies in particular are of little value with a few exceptions.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they aren't worth anything. Most of them are Irish Pingins ranging from 1930s to 1968 or so. I've got about 50 English ones ranging from 1911 to 1938. They aren't in great shape either.

I just don't know what the hell to do with them. in total they weigh about 10lbs (kind of a guess).

    Correction - I have 345 Pingns ranging from 1928 to 1968 and 236 Pennies from 1903 to 1967.

    Also
    12 three pences
    16 six pences
    5 one shillings
And a bag of new half pennies

They've driven me insane! What can I do with them? Where should I bring them? Can you recommend any one?

Lir Coins in The Market Arcade, South Great George's Street might buy them from you but I imagine what you get won't pay the bus fare. :)

I would be very wary of using them based on my experiences of them as regards medals & militaria.

If I were the OP I would get a quote from them - then either double or triple or quadruple it and put them on adverts.ie.
