    Hi

Am a complete newbie to modified cars so forgive me if I seem stupid.

I have bought a 97 accord that has a body kit on it, I prefer how the car looks with the body kit but it has cracks in it and is covered in scratches from where its hit the ground. I've learned while driving it that there is no way to avoid hitting it from time to time because its very low. I'm wondering do I need it replaced and if so, where do I go? Or could some garage fix it?

Also, the car has been crashed before and the bonnet was sprayed but its horrible. The whole car has a glass finish when the bonnet has matt. Can I get this fixed and if so where?

If you had any idea on cost it would be a great help too. As a female who knows nothing I'd be worried I'd be an easy target.

Get a pic up and we can offer better advice.

First off I'd get it highered anyway.

Heres the pic of the car posted by the seller. The body kit is in far worse shape now.

From the looks of the picture, the splitter kit is probably fibreglass, which is incredibly easy fix, in fact if your were so inclined you could fix it yourself for about 30 quid, with filler and fibreglass.

If i were in your shoes, id go for the next size tyre wall in height and that should raise the car up enough to stop it scraping, say you have 205/40/r16 on now, get 205/45/r16 youd be suprised the difference it makes.

The bonnet can be sprayed with your front splitter kit, bear in mind the bonnet is actually a very large area so your looking at about 200 for the bonnet to be sprayed, about 250 for the bumper and splitter.

Then get the sprayer to machine buff the rest of the car, it will look like new.

only problem is there is a chance the tyres might rub off the wheel arch, had this problem on focus before 205/45/r17 rubbed 205/40/r17 did not rub. im not saying this will happen, just that it COULD

I'm sure any good tyre centre would be able to give an educated guess as to if the new tyres would rub or not surely?
