ok guys got two new kittens last night. Both 12 weeks a girl and a boy.
The girls name is maisy. I already have 2 15 month old girls called socks and charlie.
My prob is I have no idea what to call the boy.
Hes so indepentdant and cocky and I just cant think of a decent name for him. Hes a georgous ginger fella and so far ive been calling him gingi which is going to stick if I dont come up with something soon.
Any ideas would be totally welcome

My daughter nick named my uncles cat Hamish and it stuck, its a great name for a cat(especially ginger one). She even got him a tartan collar:D

Hamish turned out to be a girl but we all stuck with Hamish.

lol, my bf isnt too gone on hamish.
he wants a totally unique kinda name.
and i cant call him ginger or gingi as my bf's sisters 18 year old male "giner" recently died so it wouldnt be fair

Have you tried mens names and the shortened versions?
    Oswald-ozzie
    Harold-Harry
    Henry
    Jim bob
    Stanley- stan
    Walter- Wally

Just some of the male pets I know :o, our ginger boy is called Jake.

Have also known a Rusty, copper and Orlando(apparently it means something to do with golden fields) as well as the obvious Garfield.

If your BF is like mine, he'll say no to every name you suggest yet not come up with any himself! It was a nightmare coming up with our four names.

    Here's some ideas, got them from http://www.raising-redheads.com/cartoon-characters.html. You might find something on there. These were some of my favourites;

    From the Ice Age movies:

-- Soto - dark orange saber-toothed cat, dangerous leader of the pack
    -- Diego - orange-brown saber-toothed cat, called the Smilodons

It's so hard picking pet names. I always found it a little easier once you get to know their personalities.

Post some pics if you can. I'm a total softy for kittens. :)

I would stick with the names that they came with, or something like what ever HIS name was before HE came to you...amazing for a person who would only foster or adopt ginger females? lol;)

    Call him Rocky!

We called our male Rocky but he turned out to be anything like the film character. He's a right little "mummy's boy" :D

    Omg anne I know!!!!!

I was supposed to get 2 girls but the guy wanted to keep one and I had totally already fallen in love with the ginger guy.
It took alot of convincing eamon. But he had already been playin with him and had fallin in love too.
Its so weird, hes totally diff to the girls but im getting used to it.
He'll def be getting the snip at 16 - 18 weeks all going well tho.

Trevor? Kevin? Wayne? Marmaduke? Cooper (as in Cooper's orange marmalade)??

That's all I can think of at the moment...

    Rusty?
Jack (as in Copper Face... :D)

    Some well known redheads:

    Bradley ( soap fan?)..

Chris OR Evan (Chris Evans - bit of a ladies man apparently, might suit with all the females)

    Gooch (Up the Kingdom ;)

Best of luck, let us know what you decide..

P.S: Have a look at www.redandproud.com Some good ideas...
