i was looking into getting a controller for the serato but isnt that just more wires ,having to go back to the mixer and then back to the controller, and just wreck me face.

is there mixer controller all in one which is not to dear and works with serato and you can assign your own controls on the controller.
    thanks

I haven't looked at that eBay link at all, but I'm pretty sure behringer don't so the kinda mixer your looking for!

Would you not considering selling serato, and gettin traktor scratch pro, along with an x1 controller, give you full control over 4 decks then, 2 virtual and 2 physical.

The only controller I've seen for serato is the novation dicer, and that's only to control cue points and loops.

    How about trying this?

    http://www.denondj.com/DN-HC1000S-P121.aspx

I haven't used it but I've heard great reports from those who have. If you can place it close to the mixer I think it's as good as you're going to get and you can pick one up for around €200.

As far as I know it almost completely removes the need to touch your laptop during your set.

I'd second selling Serato and picking up Traktor. There's a video on youtube of Q-Bert testing the both and he goes with Traktor for vinyl emulation quality. They also have a range of what they call 'certified' mixers, which had built in soundcards, and some have MIDI controls too, so you don't need to use anything except the decks and the mixer.

There is one thing that could work for you,

The new Novation Dicer - http://www.novationmusic.com/us/products/digital_dj/dicer

It wont get rid of the whole mess of cables BUT these controllers sit on your turntables and you can map them to whatever you want PLUS its only €100 for a pair!
