JSA awaiting decision- taking up work abroad

Question: If one leaves the country to accept a job offer from abroad, while a JSA claim decision is still outstanding, is the open claim forfeited or will one still receive benefits for the period between initial claim date and date of leaving country (assuming the claim is approved)?
Awaiting a JSA claim decision two months since mean test interview – told today i could be waiting another two months as i was studying abroad (common travel area) for a 6 month period last year and there is a backlog in processing habitual residence decisions - Have been seeking work in the meantime both here and in the UK and am hopeful of a UK job offer within the next few weeks
    Thanks
