nice to see the irish regs surviving, getting fewer and fewer, went to view an original reg 2seater yesterday,a sunbeam alpine for auction and sadly
the guide price as opposed to the genuine value were polar opposites,
it was a dog!a pretty car but an imported example was by far a safer
option, a recuring problem im sure when the potential buyer of a classic
looks at the pros and cons ofa irish car V import

most of the cars at vintage shows are mostly zv`s and it gets a bit boring after a while

thats a fact,i have a 1972 rover P5B out of the uk and was offered a logbook similar but declined, whats the point?the car is a one owner 22000 mile car so regplate doesnt alter the enjoyment/satisfaction you get from having it,its still original?

I wasen't aware of this show before i saw it hear.
Would it have been worth the trip down from Dublin? Was there any classics for sale at it?

while it is nice to see the old registrations still about if i was buying one i would have to do a fine detail search to make sure it was authentic , there are more than a few that are not what they seem to be . i think the registerations with the year county letters and number are nicer than the zv plates

True. Theres ZVs everywhere, particularly those bastard 5 digits.
Its always good to see something unusual/original.

I was to told this show was cancelled due to an organising members death??

The Duhallow club were due to attend the Motorfest but due to the ill-health of one of their members, their run was cancelled.

One of the cars in the picture had a for-sale sign. Its the red Humber Sceptre. There is no vinyl roof on it, its sprayed black....
The asking price was 1500 euros...
