I am just after sitting on my glasses... :(

The frame and one of the lenses is cracked in two. I'm living in Galway city and I need my glasses as soon as 2moro night.
Would it be possible to go to Specsavers or Vision express etc and get a new frame and lense with short notice and have it done in the one day? :o

Depends on your prescription. If you explain the circumstances most places will do their best to get it done asap for you.

Ok cool, i'm overdue an eyetest by about 6 months so I guess I'll have to start from scratch 2moro. Hope they can sort me out. Thanks for the response :)

You would probably find most independents will be able to help you out pretty quickly too. Most independents usually have the equipment in the shop and a bank of lenses.

Cool! I only just moved here so I wouldn't know who would be the best to go to, so thought I'd go for Specsavers or Vision Express! :o

I'm not trying to dis Specsavers or Vision Express. I just wanted to state they are not the only place you can possibly get an instant pair of glasses. Most people don't know that. E.g in my practice we have 2 glazing machines one of them can do fully rimless frames. We also have a bank of standard lenses from + to - 4 sphere and up to a 2 cyl. Anything else we need we can usually get into the shop within 24 hrs
