    Hello all,

Im just finished HDIP and im looking at the possibility of teaching abroad. Im not really interested in going to England right now but its not something I would rule out in the future. I have been looking at the TES website and im interested in a number of jobs in the far east although if im being honest i would love to try teaching in Australia. Any comments or suggestions of feedback from anyone who has worked internationally would be great as would any advice as to how I could go about teaching in Australia

Pretty sure you need some post HDIP experience before you apply for teaching in Australia.

I done my PGCE in England and have a job over here thankfully but was considering my opinions before that. An English friend of mine who I trained with worked as a TA in Australia for 18 months before she came back to UK. She was saying that if you get some experience in Australian schools say on a 1 year visa it would stand to you well as you would have a knowledge of their education system

I think for a skilled visa for teaching you do need some post qualification experience. Can I ask what is your main subject area cos there's loads of science teaching jobs around London.
