Was just over on Empireonline.com and noticed their Movie-Con III post. Are there any Movie Conventions here in Ireland? Any worth going to?

Hanging around with Star Wars fans/geeks for a day would be the definition of a nightmare for me. Same goes to that Father Ted fest that they have, and that's coming from a massive fan of that series.

They can be rather fun especially if you find a hardened fan boy to wind up. I once spent an hour repeatedly telling a true fan that Han shot second. By the time it was over he was practically in tears repeatedly screaming that Han shot first.

Well yeah, that's the only pleasure I'd see in ever attending one. But these die hard fans in general make me cringe too much.

There will be one this year, Dublin Comic Con 2013! I know it says Comic Con but it will be along the lines of New York Comic Con etc and we will have a big focus on movies and movie props on display aswell as alot of other attractions. Keep an eye on the page!
