Water pump not working for front windscreen

    Hi,
As per title there is no water being sprayed onto the front windscreen when I pull back on the handle to activate in my car.

I've just checked that it's not the fuse and there is defo enough water. You can't hear the pump being activated at all when you activate it from handle.

To access the pump I need to remove one of the front wheels and also remove the inside liner. I'm just wondering how to troubleshoot the issue then. Will I be able to check that the pump is getting power with a multimeter or something?

    Any help appreciated - thanks.

Sounds like the pump is at fault(fuses bein good and it getting power).

Mulitmeter will tell or just pop it off and try it on the cars battery using

two leghts of wire to attach to the + and - have a look in Halfords €7-€10

the last time i got one.

If they don't have your type of water pump, the main dealer will.

The hose may also be blocked. If you manage to get access to it pull of the hose and check if water is being sprayed out from bottle with the hose off. Is it an Opel by any chance as these are notorious for this fault?

Thanks - I'll try them out. Might be a few days before I get that chance to do it.

    It's actually a Nissan that I have.
