Does anybody have any idea how clubs work out with getting sponsors for new kit etc. Do the sponsors pay for a spot on the jersey ala Pro-Tour, not as much obviously, or how does it work.
Also any guides as to what a club could charge?
    Thanks

No guides, charge whatever you can get. If you put your sponsor name across your chest you have to pay Cycling Ireland about 200 a year. Like a form of Tax, so you see a lot of clubs have the club name on the front and the sponsor names on the shoulders or shorts or pockets etc....

Some clubs have nearly no sponsorship, others have great sponsorship (subsidised gear, race entries paid, RAS costs paid etc....). Most fall somewhere in between. It helps to have a couple of wealthy benefactors in the club.

At the moment my own club have 7 sponsors and we did charge based on the location and size of the logo. I couldn't tell you how much it was but basically we allocated the logos and space based directly on how much we got.
