Laptop - Power over portability

    Hi All,

I recently went shopping for a new laptop but was a bit over whelmed by the latest range of processors, Graphics cards and like as both my PC and Laptop are around 3 years old and the choice was more limited.

I saw an Acer online second hand from 950 to 550 and was tempted or should I save and get something like a macbook for around 900+? my brother swears by his.

Ideally I want as much processing power and graphics for applications like CAD, Photoshop CS2, gaming and BR movies, a tall ask I know but I dont want to spend more than 600 as I need to purchase ASAP and dont have time to save the extra if I can avoid it.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I know these questions have been asked in different guises before so my apologies for repeating.

Going to try Harvey Normans, Curries and DELL over the next 24 hours.

    Thank you!
