Accommodation disaster 2010

    Sorry if there is already a thread but im looking for accommodation but cant find anywhere suitable...
    Im going into 1st year and I know I should really stay in corrib for the craic and meeting new friends aspect, but I cant live in NUIG student accommodation as im going to live with friends who are not attending NUIG...
    But I would still like to live in a student area not to far away from college
    any suggestions would be great :D

    1: Get a house in an area near the college - Hazel Park, Corrib Park etc.

    2: Familiarise yourself with the actual definition of "disaster". :p

    Lol. would agree though just get somewhere close to nuig and you're sorted. try daft.ie or the galway advertiser.

    Im assuming the friends are going to gmit or something? Well, theres busses for them to get out to gmit and your within walking distance. Seriously,

    Would it be the end of the world if you didn't live with them? If they're in GMIT theres no place thats really convenient for both colleges, plus ye'll have different times, groups of friends, nights out etc so you could be left walking to and from your house on your own, either after lectures or after nights out. If you stay in student accom with other nuig people more than likely ye'll be able to walk into college together and get home together and all that. Mightn't be what you're thinking of but most of the craic I had in college this year was in Corrib, either just going around to peoples houses or all coming home together in a big crowd.
