Hello,

i need someone to dis solder broken DC power jack from an HP TX1340 and replace it with new one.

I can pay for this service. I live in dublin south,sandyford. Price in shop is 80 euro for this service, looking for a lot less.....

i have the replacement DC power jack part, just a matter of soldering the new one.

Not your fault. If he's using the terms correctly, you're right. Some people (including me) tend to use "socket" and "plug"(or jack) interchangeably just by habit or for whatever reason.

I work on the quays. If you give me a shout if you're around i can do it for you (just tell me beforehand so i can bring in soldering iron) .

I should be pretty easy but just in case, i take no responsibility if it goes wrong. Is it open and ready to solder or do you need to unscrew anything.

i can unscrew and bring you the motherboard itself... so it will be a quicker job!

just a few questions... did u ever replace this particular part? is it just a hobby or u r qualified tech?

the laptop is worth 1200 euro and the motherboard 500 euro... so please if u re confident enough i am going to trust you with this job.

what kind of soldering iron are u going to use? 15 w should be enough i think.

Don't go there. not easy to do. leave it to a professional.
