Can't see it mentioned already but the XL store on the corner of Wellington Quay and Parliament Street Dublin 2 has been selling the Irish Times for €1.60 for a while now and have a poster in the window about the offer. Normal price €1.80 (€2 on Saturdays? not sure what they charge on Saturday).

Lads the OP posted a bargain he thought may be useful to some members here.

Just because it doesn't benefit you, there's no need for the stupid f*cking remarks.

Jeez - if you're not interested then why bother posting. Maybe somebody will find it useful? Thought that was what this forum was all about.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Update: thanks Doyler92 - my post crossed with yours. It's not the most earth shattering BA ever but it's a discount on the normal price charged elsewhere and maybe of interest to those who take the IT every day or whatever. I don't myself but that's irrelevant...

Unfortunately you will find plenty of keyboard warriors on here who treat every thread like AH's and just try and get one up on posters. Thanks for the post, does not interest me but might some people

Nobody died and nobody left me in charge. I'm just stating my opinion.

It may be a stupid f*cking bargain alert to you but if it saves just one person 20c then I reckon it served its cause.

You can get it for 80cents in that coffee shop adjoining the Trinity School of nursing on D'Olier Street around the corner

Your not in charge either. Posts like these are not wanted, and wont be tolerated. You can take a break from "stupid f*cking bargain alerts"

good for people who work nearby and buy the paper anyway
but still hard to get excited about 20c
imo, they should drop the price to €1 everywhere, and the extra readership will justify charging more to advertisers, and they'll make just as much money, possibly more

Same in UCC :) Roughly 80 cent for all the papers. But if I was in Dublin I would avail of this, 20 cent is still 20 cent!

I dont know why people are laughing. For someone who works quite near here and buys the IT every day it would be quite the saving, over €50 quid a year.

Granted the appeal is limited but it certainly is a bargain to some.

If the OP had come on to say that if you put code xyz into a certain website you save €50 quid on your annual sky/mobile/internet bill he'd be thanks'ed out the gate

It may not be much but it builds up so I say cheers for letting us know about the reduced price. I wonder why they do it though?
