Electric clippers & Blackface hill sheep

Further to John Holmes thread on Sheep Shearing Equipment...

We have two flocks of mainly Blackfaced hill sheep. Does anyone here shear Blackies with electric clippers, how do they fare out with the coarse wool? I presume speed is the main advantage over the hand shears, are there others I'm unaware of? I have no experience with electric clippers at all. The Horner mentioned in Johns post has interested me as our land is mostly far from tracks, not to mention sheds with electricity. Would like to hear from them that shear Blackies please.

    ATB,

    John
