Is it just me and zascar and milltown?

If not, i have a bit of a problem with mine, my jogwheels feel very "loose" as in if i spin them back while a track is playing, they'll spin for AAAAAGES before stopping, now i've fiddled around with the two adjusters at the back, and they don't really give me much of a difference!

the left jog wheels feels MUCH looser than the right...anyway to remedy this?

There are a few of us, Joker77 is one, but shout anyone else who has them anyway.

On the back of the VCI there are two little adjuster thingys which you need a small screwdriver to get at them. Try that, although really its more about sensitivity in the software and how much it moves the track etc.

Otherwise, get a small screwdriver and unscrew them, then out them back on. Could be pointless I'm not sure but worth a whirl...

Loosen or tighten the three screws that are in the white plastic washer.

If you fancy going deeper, and if there's a bit of up and down play in your loose jog; if you remove the screws accessed from the top of the VCI (iirc) that will release the whole assembly (the metal boxes in Colin's pic) and open them up, you'll be into where the encoder disc and sensor live. There's one or two little grub screws holding the encoder disc onto the shaft. If you loosen these you can move the encoder up or down the shaft and take out the axial (up and down) play. The main bushing that the shaft runs in is sandwiched between the top of the shaft, where the jog wheel attaches to it, and the nylon piece with the encoder disc attached to it.

Not sure if that made any sense

I took some pictures on my phone when I had mine apart. I'm in work now but if I get the time, and can find a card reader/phone cable, I'll put up the pics later and it might make a bit more sense.

Nice one man, I'd appreciate the pics!

Found the pics, but not the means to upload them yet. The part with the encoder disc attached is actually brass.
Pics to follow, over the weekend sometime.

Right. Have the pic on the PC with explanatory notes added but if I upload it to my boards album it gets resized and the notes become illegible.
Try grabbing it from rapidshare and let me know if it works.
