earning money from home

I have taken up a part time job (basically because there were no full time jobs available... tut tut) and I am looking at supplementing my income with some of those "work from home" things.

I have had a look and come up with things like the Avon or Betterware, but I also saw some of them "get paid for your opinion" sites... I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience of these and if so what the potential earnings are from them...

    Thanks in advance!

Tut tut that you're evening considering this nonsense.
Get paid for your opinion sites are a sham. And I haven't seen anyone making a living selling plastic junk from door to door - although I have heard of people wasting money buying the packs including the catalogues to get them started.
It's probably a better idea to either look for a fulltime job or a second part-time job.

Just some quotes from google seach on irishopinions.com:
"During 3 years of taking part in irishopinions.com surveys I have only earned €30 in vouchers, so I would not recommend it as a viable way of earning regular extra money"
"i joined this last year and have only accumulated €3.50"
"Joined this site about 18 months ago. I've about €6.50 accumulated with a further €3.00 pending. It annoys me that you can sometimes have about a third of the questions filled in and then they decide you're not what they're looking for. No reward then"

If you have certain skillsets like web-development, or programming - then yes - it's possible to make a tidy sum at home, but most of those pay-to-click programs are just fakes.

You should have a look at this weeks episode of Penn & Teller: Bull****.
They explain these types of work pretty well.

Just to say Irishopinions actually do pay out, I've gotten about 50 quid off them since I joined last year.

I wouldn't call it income though, it's just the odd tenner in vouchers every month or two that I spend on DVDs

€50 quid for a year's work hardly seems worth it, does it? Sounds more like something that would get in the way of job hunting.

You will earn more by begging on the streets.
Like someone said, if you have no skills like web developing, programming, photoshop or 3d, you won't be able to earn on the internet.

think it's back tot he drawing board! :P
