    Sorry,

Just read the part about 6 of you's in the house.....

Fixed line would be your best bet. I'm not sure what Ping times are like with digi web. If there high, your online gaming is in trouble.

Great thanks, so what your saying in your opinion is either digiweb or Vodafone

Gaming isn't a big deal , only really ever used once in a blue moon tbh it's more watching tv/movies and the like :D

Problem is afaik / can see the house doesn't have a phone line so does anyone know how much it'd cost to get one in ?

Just checked with digiweb there and they offer this :http://www.digiweb.ie/home/bundles/ngb/index.html but it's not unlimited :(

Was speaking to their sales department though and the person wanted to know if the house was wired or not ? I assumed that they meant had a phone line , but apparently it's something different ?

    Yeh,

You need to look at their metro product. It's a fixed wireless solution.

I'm worried myself. If your streaming it will depend on latency and ping times. Generally wireless solutions even fixed will give you problems with ping times. They will also choke the life out of the connection. Hopefully digiweb doesn't do this. I read their T&c's though. Basically says that if they want to throttle you they can and will.

In fairness I haven't heard any complaints yet.

If you need to get the house wired, you may need eircom to do this. I think you could be looking at 250euro before you even factor in a package.

I also think Eircom insist on you signing a 12 months contract with them. Could be wrong on that though.

Eircom/Vodafone can only give you 3mgb broadband in kingsbry on fixed line.

Shocking in this day and age though.

In the same boat myself now with moving to Kingsbry, so checking this out. Is anyone in Kingsbry with Digiweb? Their Metro offering doesn't look so bad at €45 for 30Mb. Is there anything I'm missing here?

100gb ain't anywhere near enough for you if there are going to be 6 in the house.

See what data add ons if any they do.

    But 100gb won't cut mustard.

Don't cover house we're moving to either - so would I be right in assuming Digiweb are the only other way to go really?
