I got a letter from my employer stating I was made redundant on X date and I was to be compensated with stat reduandancy a months pay and accrued holiday pay.

Am I entitled to claim JSB from the date X or do I have to wait for the number of days I got holiday pay for?

Your claim will start from the day you walk into the welfare office to make a claim ie if you are made redundant on day x and only go into the welfare office on day y, you will only be able to claim from day y.

You can make your claim from your first day of unemployment. So the first day you don't actually go to work.
