Alfa Romeo have stopped selling cars with the traditional Alfa red colour (Rosso, colour code 289) because of quality problems

It's a problem caused by brittle paint & it's not just an Alfa problem. Red Alfa Mitos & 159s have been worse effected by the problem with very bad stone-chipping of paint. In the UK many owners are having partial resprays to repair the cars under warranty.
The new Giulietta will now not be available in Alfa Red ( at least for the foreseeable future ) but will be available in a new Metallic Red ( Maranello Red, the same colour currently used on the current Fiat Bravo )0 -
