SnS payment : any idea when?

Anyone have a rough idea when we get our second SnS installment? Going to base it round my holidays...:D

I think last year it was paid in September at the earliest. Sorry.

Think we got it in mid July last year and I've a funny feeling I heard somewhere that we're due to get it on the 15th this month! Fingers crossed

Well seeing as we got no advance correcting this year, oh and no notice of aforementioned absent advance probably whenever they feel like it! There goes paying my car tax with the advance! Grr

Oh so it's not just me!! I thought the SEC had just messed up and managed to not pay me my advance somehow! I emailed them on Monday to ask and got a phonecall a short while after to tell me it'd be in my account by the end of the week......still no sign!

It's not good enough, they say we'll have it within 5 days of conference so it would simply be common courtesy to let us know if there's a change in that timescale. I could really do with that money coz I'd banked on having it at this stage! Grrrr!

Well the orals took eleven weeks...mine is in on Monday or so I'm assured. Shower of wasters!

S&S is normally the mid-July payment so it should be in next week I'd imagine. I only had my conference this week so I'm not expecting advance payment for another week at least. It was delayed as well for the practicals in May.

I got a call from the financial section 10 days ago about my practicals claim form which they were only processing then. I had written postage expenses €66 in total. Was told they couldn't pay out that amount because they didn't have a receipt for it. I asked did they have any of my receipts. 'Yes' the woman replied 'we have the one for €55 and two more for €5.50 each and we can pay you for those'. The conversation came to an abrupt end when I pointed out that the three receipts totalled €66. :pac: I did ask when I could expect to get it and was told another fortnight so it should come in around the same time as S&S. Happy days! It's taking a lot longer than it used to, I used to get paid for practicals by the end of June at the latest. It never took more than 6 weeks. They must be doing some serious clampdown on checking expenses.

FINALLY.......my advance is now sitting in my account! It only took them 20 days!!! So glad to have it, had to borrow money at the weekend for something. If the S&S comes on Thurs it'll be like a windfall......always feel that's like free money when we get it during the summer!

My advance for project work was about two weeks late too, I think they're suffering from the cut backs there too, as well as watching the expenses - there'll be no claiming for tape recorders this year!

Got mine yesterday. Not doing S&S next year, just not worth it anymore with all the taxes and levies. Still waiting on practicals and advance for corrections...

The croke park agreement won't get rid of s&s at all and people are contracted into it so there are further issues to get rid of it. Will be interesting to see what happens with into in and tui out
