going to waterford for first time Aug bank hol wkend. 5yr anniversary with the boyfriend. Spas.ie has Fitzwilton down as a 'hotel spa'. Can only see beauty treaments, boyfriend would be more interested in jacuzzi/water spa part than a treatment. any know if they have something like this here, or something to this effect like a day spa in city centre itself? mailed the hotel but no joy.

Planning on checking the nightlife on Sat night alright but also, on the friday thinking of being tourist for a few hours and doing cruise/water activity type. Any recommendation(s) would be much appreciated........we are in our mid twenties

Not sure about spas in Waterford but if you're coming down for the August Bank holiday weekend, you'll be here during the Spraoi festival. There'll be a great buzz around the city with street theatre, music and lots of other stuff during the days. Then, at night, any pub worth its salt will have live music.

Not sure what we have in terms of water/cruise type activities but the county has loads of beaches and cliffs and that sort of thing. It depends what you're into really.

    EDIT:
    Link for Spraoi.

Fitzwilton has some of the best rooms in the city --- have "beauty team" on call out service for the hotel - but no spa as such -- Tower Hotel has a good one ---

as said -city will be alive for Spraoi
