Au Pair uses her Nice Pair to Extract Cash

    Au pair preyed on 'foolish' boyfriend for money
    A judge yesterday noted the unique powers of persuasion a young German woman used to extract cash from "foolish Irishmen".

    "German women must have ways of extracting money from foolish Irishmen that Irishwomen have not been able to accomplish yet," Judge Mary Fahy told Galway District Court yesterday.

    She made the observation after hearing how a German au pair convinced her Irish boyfriend to lend her €2,000 which she never repaid.

    She stole money from his bank account when they broke up. She then got another young Irishman to repay the money to compensate the ex-boyfriend for her crime, the court heard.

    She then stole a further €2,400 from his bank account after taking his bank card and obtaining his PIN.

    "The chances of you seeing that money back are slim and nil," Judge Fahy told the young Burger King worker who accompanied Hubicki to court.

    She sentenced Hubicki to 11 months in prison, which she suspended for two years.

    At least the judge was honest.
