I'd put this into the same league as the Isuzu Gemini: rare, obscure Japanese cars!

Can't remember the last time I saw one of these!

EDIT: Interesting description given when you put the reg. into Cartell!

Was the 1996 one the one based on the Suzuki Swift?

    Think so,twas much curvier,the 4x4 would have made a great base for a home made field/forestry car!:D

I think the Justy was the smallest 4x4 car you could get at the time.

Back around the time just before I got my first car in 2004, I was looking around for a Justy myself, but they were pretty much impossible to find second hand!

So why is the description "MITSUBISHI FK 415H"?

Is that just the most similar car in their database?

    Weren't they a viscous coupling?

I think the CVT versions (which were rubbish from what I heard) had a button alright on the gear shifter.

EDIT: Found this CVT one on Car Domain:

Singland Motors in Limerick was the nearest which I am aware of. There was also a dealer near Horse and Jockey

I understood he had lost the franchise when it was given to Slatterys in Puckane

I remember McLaren tested a F1 car in the 90`s with CVT and it was 4 seconds quicker than the standard car. It got banned by the FIA pretty much instantly :)

    It was Williams ;)

    Anyway.......

The fact of the mater is that the CVT 'box in the Justy was notoriously unreliable. That said, CVT's have come a long way since. Still wouldn't by a car with CVT (or automatic) regardless.

    When was AZF?

    A Mk1 Robin would be 1973 - 1981.

(and the bottom photo is a bunch of Rialtos)

Actually, if anyone has one of these registered as a car here, it shouldn't be. I have confirmation here from the Revenue Comissioners at the CVO.

My cousin has an '84 Rialto, although it's still on English plates. I don't think he's too bothered registering it to Irish plates! :p

Mid 1986,just after the county and city registers were combined.

They should be classed as motorbikes/trikes?

I was contacted a while ago by a man from Mayo who had bought a 1998 Robin from the north. The local office wanted €720 VRT from him. Anyway as the paperwork had been submitted, he had to cough up and put in an appeal. (with information I had that assisted the appeal) This was successful and I've got a copy of the letter here, he got a €600-odd back.

€2/cc up to 350cc and €1/cc thereafter LESS 10% for every year old it is up to a maximum of 90%. So pretty much all of them are €120 for VRT and €76 for motor tax.

(If over 30 years old, then €50 VRT (cat C) and €22 for motortax)

So if the paperwork is incorrect (highly likely as the local offices don't have a clue), please get in touch with me as I would like to assist and add to my evidence pile as much paperwork as possible so that these cars are processed properly in the first instance.

Apparently Audi's multitronic is notoriously troublesome

It was selectable 4WD on the manual versions too, there's a picture here (can't link directly, below all the other cars): http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/inspector124300/folder/889738.html
I think the Justy was the smallest 4x4 car you could get at the time.
The smaller Subarus (Rex/M80/Signet and later Vivio) were available with 4WD as well (Rex was same push-button system as Justy, Vivio had viscous coupling), but I'm not sure if either were officially sold here with it. The 4WD Vivio was certainly sold in the UK at least.

Does this look similar? :D (Real answer: Probably a data entry mistake)
