Replacing French Doors

At the moment I'm shopping around to replace my French Doors, at this point I have ruled out sliding doors and thinking about replacing the french doors we have with better ones. Ours at the moment are a bit too drafty due to the builders thowing them in. We are also looking at the option of one large door and and large window which is most appealing to now.

Has anyone any experience with getting anything like this in and the cost? I've had a few quotations at this point, ranging from 1800 to 5800  The samples we have seen so far seem to be quite high quality with security and heat retention benefits. These have not been with the larger well established companies which I'm moving on to getting quotations from next.
