    Hi ,

Searched the forum but could find any awnsers to my question.

On their site o2 say they have wirelees home broadband , I understand this is the same system as the mobile(I have 02 mobile usb dongle at the moment , and its eh... ok!)
Just wondering will the home hub be able to give me better speeds and latency , i get 1mb at best ping aroun 120-170,s, i got 2mb once but never saw it again. I usually get 2-3 bars of signal.

Will the hub give me better signal a thus give better speeds and latency?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Well because its a full wireless router you could place it at the window( or the best place you get coverage in the house) and it still should give you wifi signal throughout your entire house. That way you can get the best coverage but the likeliness of this improving speeds is still very little. At least you can rest assured knowing you'll have a constant connection ;)

You won't as it's Mobile. Essentially a fast dialup. It WILL refuse to connect or drop a connection when there is a good signal. Capacity is low and shared with higher priority voice calls (because these make x100 more profit).

So essentially mobile broadband is a piece of crap?? I was just trying to brighten up his/her situation with a little reassurance ;)

Yes, and there's no reassurance when it comes to 3G Internet access. It can be good, but if it's not, then just give up.
