Hi I am looking to place my son in Karate lessons in Athlone, can anyone advise what is out there?

Phone numbers, links, or address would be helpful...

    Thanks

Hi John-Joe. Here's some details about Karate in Athlone I found previously.
There's Shorin-Ryu at St. Mary's Hall, Northgate Street, Athlone.

Wado-Kai in the GAA centre on 090294585

Edit: I found the facebook account for the Wado-Kai club http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=17964148036

    Good luck.

There is a very good kyokushin karate club in Mullingar run by a guy called Ken Fitzpatrick...
I know its a bit farther away, but I've heard lots of really good stuff about Ken, and I think he has kids classes on a Saturday, and during the week.

    Heres a link

    Best of luck,

I think 5 is very young to start karate. If you want him to stay with it, be sure you find a club where he's going to make friends & have fun. The serious karate can wait for at least another 5 years.

    Cheers,

    Z

(Sorry, I don't know the clubs in Athlone)
