If one were to emmigrate and wished to keep bank accounts in Ireland... is it possible to have the address on the account changed to an overseas address and have statements etc. sent overseas (within EU)?

    Will a bank do this?

    Thanks folks

Should be fine, you would need to clarify it with the bank. I have bank accounts up north which are being re-directed down here.

Done it both ways... BOI account with a UK address and a HSBC account with a Irish address. No problems. If you are going away get ALL you banking done from you abroad address then you won't be stung for the stamp duty on you credit or debit card.
