Found this diagnostic connector, it is located under the bonnet, on the left hand side ( passenger side ) under a black plastic cover. In the centre of the cover is a 1/2" nut which must be removed before removing the cover.:)

    Hi,
When I start the car in the morning, it sounds as if it's missing (only firing on 3 ) and when I pull off , there is no power. After 250 yards , I turn the engine off and back on again and everything is fine. Then at lunchtime the same thing happens and I let it warm up and turn it off and back on again. This leads me to believe the MAF is the problem, but I was going to try run the diagnostics on it tomorrow and see if I can come up with anything.
    regards

The resolution to the problem was to change the coil. There are 2 coils , 1 for plugs 1 and 3 and the other for 2 and 4. The coil for 1 and 3 was gone, so replaced tyhis and all was fine.:)
