The New 2011 VW Passat

There's talk of a new VW Passat coming in the new year. Does anybody have any insider knowledge about it?:cool:

It's supposed to be more of a re-skin rather than an all-new model. Think of it in a similar vein to the Golf Mk5 and Mk6.

Any news on the engines, new high power TSI's, Emissions, etc..:D

As Volkswagen haven't given an official press release yet, nothing is concrete, but I would be expecting the usual range of downsized turbo engines that are now appearing in the Golf and other models.

The new one will lookm a bit like the old B5 Passat from the front. There was the first real pix of it in a german paper, and I thought it looked terrible on that pix...

VW normally do a facelift before a complete new model so I'd say the current model will get a few styling tweaks and a couple of new engines next year.

It's coming here in around October. Same engines as current ones as they're all relitavely new, maybe one or two additional ones, nothing confirmed.
It's not really new, it's a facelift. And having seen some pictures, it's a facelift gone wrong. Epic fail, that's what I say.
They should ditch the Passat CC and make the standard Passat look like that and they'll be fine. Forget this "new look" front that actually looks kak.

Dont think that MPG is correct, I was getting that from the V10 TDI, even in US MPG its wrong. AFAIK, the V6TDI is a near 40 MPG (Imperial) car.

Photos all from Beijing, apparently the Phaeton is doing really well in China, its largest market.
