With all the problems the iPhone 4G has had in recent weeks, is it still worth the 500 pounds price tag sim free for the 32GB model from the Belfast Apple store?. When it comes back in stock? As it has approx. price sim free down here of 850 yoyo's!

its worth it to the people that are willing to pay it.
reception issues are not in all phones AFAIK.

all iPhones have been priced the same, so whay are people bringing up the price so much for this release?

Well Apple products are always cheaper in the UK at Sterling prices, then they are here in Yoyo's, and even cheaper in the US. If you have a reason to be over there to pick Apple stuff up?

i know, ive bought all my previous ipods in NYC Apple Store on 5th Avenue. but you cant buy an iPhone over there im afraid :o

its 609e to buy the 32gb down here from O2 then you have to buy 150e worth of credit to have O2 unlock it so not much difference in both markets imo.

Actually the 32Gb is Stg£599 in Belfast, at todays rate of 83.2p plus 1.5% commission that works out at EUR 730.75

Your right my mistake, the 16gb model is 500 pounds, but the 600 quid 32 gb model is still only about 720 yoyo's at the current exchange rate. with no commission if you know where to change your cash, still 120 yoyo's cheaper then the few retailers taking preorders down here for the sim free iPhone 4 due at the end of the month. I'll pick one up in London or Belfast myself as Im back and forth regularly.

before you do your roll eyes, please double check your figures -

    iPhone 32gb in Belfast 599stg - 730e
    iPhone 32gb from O2 609e plus 150e credit to unlock - 759e

add in parking, petrol costs and theres not alot in the difference

also, can you provide proof of retailers down here taking pre0orders for the new iPhone, because as far as im concerned , no retailers are!

Has O2 Ireland announced that the iPhone4 will be the same price as the 3GS?

basing it on previous examples, as they've kinda stayed around the same.
they usually bring the new one in at the current price and drop the price of the older one, in this case bring a 8GB 3GS version onto the market as a lower budget option.
