high chair/hide

I am thinking about putting up a high chair or building a proper hide on stilts on the edge of a wood I shoot this year, I am wondering if anyone else shoots from a hide. I enjoy the stalking and don,t know if sitting in a hide waiting for something to happen is for me so I,d appreciate some feed back on what peoples experiences are. would I get bored from sitting waiting for something to happen or is it worth doin?

Let the youngfella build it! He will enjoy it and you can choose whether or not to use it!

And if out stalking in your own and you bag a deer, bring it home and tell him you got it from the high chair! It will make his day!

do you reckon a high seat would do just as good a job as a hide JW, will the deer need time to get used to it, as in should I do it before the season starts so as not to disrupt them too much.

a high seat works better as deer generally dont look up for danger , also sent is dispersed better.
deer can smell turf a mile away of you bog men .

the lean too can be moved during the off season or hid

Just to add to the original question.. how close would be too close for a hide/high chair??

    Best way to cover scent??

    Tack,
I'm surprised at you. I at least would have expected a full cammo job, complete with DPM, etc.
Colour of a seat is all important, as this photo illustrates.

From a realistic point of view, higher up means less scent ,better view and less obstruction in the way of your bullett,

    Simples:D

My remmy just got a make over :D

For a simpleton I still managed to make a Triangular barrel Round and recrowned better than a factory Jobbie

I'll re zero in the .308 after the rain stops.
    If it stops!

I'll try out one of you boyo's high chairs when I am to old to walk.
I would not have any interest in sitting around on my backside, if I did I'd be on the dole ;)

It's always nice to know there's a place to go with a bit of cover on those rare soft days.

With that said - I hope you have a cover.

No use - the feet aren't adjustable for uneven ground.
