    Hey,

So I bought the PSP Go off my brother and was wondering what games I could pick up for it? I plan on picking up some over the next few weeks or so and so far I have the following:

    Final Fantasy VII
    Metal Gear Solid
Prinny Can I really be the Hero
    GTA Chinatown Wars
    Mortorstorm Arctic Edge

The only really game I play on it really is GTA which I enjoy very much.. Looking for a game to keep me occupied when I am bored (apart from metal gear series).. Is there any other GTA games on PSP? Or any games like that which I could buy in the store?

    Thanks in advance,
    John

Peace Walker is the best game I have played on the PSP by some distance.

    Yeah Peace Walker.

If you liked GTA Vice City then Vice City Stories on the PSP is brilliant!

GTA Chinatown Wars, Motorstorm: Arctic Edge and MGS Peace Walker are some of the best games I've played on my PSP. You should try out the demos of LocoRoco and Patapon and see what you think of them - they're amazing games but not for everyone I would guess. LittleBigPlanet PSP, WipEout Pulse, God of War: Chains of Olympus and Rock Band Unplugged are pretty good also.

There are some PSP versions of PS3 PSN games like Super Stardust Portable and PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe that are really good time sinks. There are quite a few PSP minis that I think are worth a look - try Age of Zombies and Tetris. There are games like Half Minute Hero, Tekken Dark Resurrection and Dissidia that I'd usually recommend but I don't know if they'd be your thing.

Avoid almost all shooters like the plague unless they're made by Sony Bend Studio (so that's Resistance Retribution and the Syphon Filter games). Even MGS Portable Ops is a bit of a chore to play due to the terrible controls. At least they fixed them in Peace Walker. :pac:

If you're getting 'Prinny', I'd strongly recommend Disgaea if you haven't played it already. It's the game Prinny is a spin-off of, and it's pretty cheap if I recall correctly. It's pretty stats heavy, but light-hearted in tone and delivery. Plus, it's some of the best strategy RPG action around. It's the game I've put most time into on the PSP.

Others have got a lot of the others covered. Peace Walker is a superb entry into the franchise, which dare I say is vastly superior to MGS4. Loco Roco is great colourful fun. Rock Band Unplugged is great if you're into it - adds an interesting twist by having you switch between instruments as you play. There's a three euro 'light' version (basically a demo that you can use DLC with) if you want to give it a try. Half-Minute Hero is a clever twist on old Japanese RPG conventions - quests are done in short bursts which don't quite last minute but are usually under five minutes. It's a fun satire, but also has good mechanics of it's own.

I have Prinny and it really annoys me I can not get past the bosses :(... GTA Vice City Stories I shall pick up if its in the store and MGS Peace Walker I did not like the demo... Tbh Shooters on PSP pretty much suck.. Patapon is an enjoyable game most pick them up and maybe a few more...

How old is the go, i take it you can't get the 10 free games by registering. Not sure about the cost involve but why not trade it in for another go to get those games you may be better off.

LittleBigPlanet is amazingly good on the PSP. Easily the best portable game in a while.

That is exactly what I was thinking... It is a launch one... I dont know the trade in value though... Would I get much if I sold it on adverts with the games?.

I don't know i have a low opinion of adverts, was looking how much 60gb went for and just had people offering 100-150. i'd ring game or someone the bit extra you'll pay can't be that much and i'm not sure about this but you may be able to keep the old psn account you have with those games.

God of War: Chains of Olympus - Really great game if you liked any of the GoW series.

MGS: Peace Walker - Such a good game and I'm only half way through. If this game was ported onto the PS3, it would sell millions.

GTA Chinatown Wars - Really clever game and reminds me of the old fun GTA games. Really long game aswell.

Patapon - Simple game but very addictive. Don't how to explain it but it's good fun.

I use to play Socom FTB 1/2 and Syphon Filter for online multiplayer. Don't know if the servers be still active but they were good games to pass the time a few years ago.

I noticed a few years ago you can use a ps3 controller for psp... Could I play FPS games just like I play them on PS3? e.g same controls?

Have god of war aswell forgot to mention... Also why is Patapon dearer than Patapon 2? Think i'm going to pick up Patapon 2 and soon to be Patapon 3 :p and will pick up abes oddyssey (what a game that was on ps1 )
