Dont think that its a bad price, its Dura Ace, in perfect condition by the looks of the photo's. Sure what was the cost of this groupset new?

Cheapest I've seen for the 7800 is £900 sterling so approx €1050.

773 euro in Merlin Cycles. If you look hard enough you'd get the 7900 groupset for 1050 euro........

Thats new ! but is it is a 175 only chainset and seems just 1 in stock.....

Price reduced to €575 anyway and might discuss a rate for fitting fitting with Mr Skeff !

I am interested in your groupset, but it is still too expensive. Can buy a new Dura-ace 7800 groupset, for €773 at merlin cycles.
This would include cables, New bottom bracket, new cassette and chain.

    New 7800 Chain Price-€37.95
    New7800 B/B Price €60.00
    New 7800 Cassette €150.00
    New Durace Cables €35.00

    Total €283.00:eek:
    + Your Groupset €575.00:eek:

    Total €858.00:eek::eek::eek:

Not such a bargain really, is it????

The chain and cassette, cables and bottom/bracket, would have to be replaced on even a lightly used groupset.

I am offering €400. Otherwise not really worth the bother and expense of buying secondhand.

    Happy Cycling:)

Not sure if you're trolling but why are you adding €283 to the price ???

All those (chin, BB, cables and cassette)are included already. The merlin one is 175 cranks so if thats your size fire away.

Prepared to come down on the price but at 400 I'd keep it rather than change it.

No it's a genuine offer, The €283.00 is the projected cost of replacing the parts that are most lightly worn, Chain and cassette, cables and perhaps the Bottom/bracket bearings.

With online stores such as Merlin, selling the remaining 7800 series dura-ace groupsets off at very low prices. And the new 7900 Dura-ace, being so heavily discounted already.
Also parts availability, is going to become an issue for the 7800 very soon.:( With none of the newer 7900 being compatible.

It's a real pity, campag still supply spares for all their older groupsets.
With shimano, as soon as the new stuff goes into prouduction.
The spares availability on the older stuff, dries up fairly quickly.
Anyway, best of luck with the sale:)

    Happy Cycling:)

No my offer of €400 is a serious one, no trolling intended what so ever.
I recently bought a NEW Ultegra SL groupset, for €420, for one of my other bikes.
And so far my offer of €400, is the only one on the table. As far as I can see, all the other post's, are just taking the mick.

I am living In Cork Pm me if you want to sell, this weekend:)

    Happy Cycling:)

Sorry Surfer Dude not even close to the minimum I'll accept.
As I said will stick with it rather than sell at that price.
The cables , chain, BB and cassette will not need changing for a long time yet BTW.

This looks very good value though
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055964040
    And only asking €325

And you were trying to sell the whole bike for €1500, then later dropped the price to €1350:D And still no sale:(
Im telling you, The market for second-hand bike gear is dead, Since the feckin green party introduced their bike to work scheme:eek:

I am trying to sell some stuff myself, without any luck:rolleyes:

That's the last time I am going to vote, for the feckin Green Party:D

    Happy cycling:)

No I wasn't selling the bike at all. Never was and have no intention of...

I think you may have been thinking of "Mikethebike"the person I bought the bike off, and am now intending to replace the Dura-Ace group set with an Ultegra one with compact geometry (agreed with another seller here) already arranged and am funding by selling the Dura-Ace.

And for the record I have sold 2 bike at close to the asking here in the past month as well as numerous other bits and pieces. Most people here are genuine cyclists who are either shifting or on the lookout for some gear.

No offence but I don't see you as the reliable sort so have no intention of selling it to you at any price, so please kindly feck off and stop thread spoiling.

Im not entirely sure about your state of mind, my good man. I have made you a genuine offer, for your groupset. There is no need to resort, to rude and insulting behaviour:rolleyes:
My advice is, "Ride your bike more"All the exercise will help you to relieve the stress you are so obviously suffering from:)
Buying nice cycling gear, does not make one a genuine cyclist. Only riding, the bike makes one a propper cyclist.
Shimano designed Dura-ace, for hard and demanding use, ie not for light use:D
I have worn out several, Dura-ace Groupsets:D And it takes lots and lots of cycling:)

Oh dear. Robfowl would be very well known in cycling circles and is very much a "genuine" or "proper" cyclist who has worn out many bikes in his time, but I would guess that like many of us enjoys the bikes themselves almost as much as cycling them, hence multiple bikes and buying and selling kit from time to time. You might want to find out what and who you are talking about before you embarass yourself on a public forum. And the smiley faces and patronising (not to mention painfully misguided in this case) sh*t highlighted in bold. Really ? Just make an offer and leave it at that, you are trying to buy a groupset on the cheap, not convince a jury that it should be sold to you.
