I bought a new laptop about a week ago. I have transfered some files from my old machine and installed hijackthis. When I did the first scan to set up the ignore list I found some strange entries. Why do some of these have file missing ? Has this machine been used before I got it or is there a valid reason. I haven't removed anything, the only thing I have done is the HP update.

Here is a screenshot of the Hijackthis results:

they are orphaned registry entries, so if you installed something and then removed it, there is a chance they will still be there

Don't worry about them. Also if its x64 bit OS it can be a bug.
