Taxis in Cairo Airport

Travelling to Cairo in Sept and looking to get taxi from Airport to hotel. Have done the usual Google checks and checked the airport Website. Just looking for peoples input. Heading downtown and wondering are they rip of merchants or is there set fees to downtown or am I better organising a pick up at the airport as arriving on my own

we were in cairo last year.
We booked a taxi before hand at a set price

I forget the name of the company however we found them on the forum at tripadvisor , cairo section. Worth checking out.

When you see Cairo traffic / driving.... set your faces to 'stunned'!

Just make sure you have agreed the price before you get into the taxi and it should be fine. Can't remember how much it costs into to the city but its very reasonalbe and not that much trouble to get one when you arrive.

Thanks was browsing the tripadvisor and lonelyplant forums and came across a taxi firm called The Blue Cab but mixed reviews and dont seem to be quick in coming back.

If anyone can think of others let me know
