Anyone ever tried this Tribulus from myprotein? or recommend anything better in the same price category? Started to hit a bit of a plateau recently and looking to add something new.

All tribulus does is it can help raise your libido levels, what are you hoping to get from it?

Tribulus is a controlled substance under IMB regulations and so can't be sold over the counter. If you import it from the UK there's every chance that customs will seize it.

There's very little hard evidence to say it actually works tbh, if anything all the studies I've seen point at it having totally neutral effects. If you've reached a plateau look at your diet, your rest and your training first, there's always something that can be modified.

I took this and found it very good.

It is supposed to raise your testosterone levels which in turns gives you better energy levels, general good feeling about yourself and increased ability to grow muscle. It will also increase your sex drive and I found that this is true....my gf also noticed!!!!

The only down side I found was a bit of a downer when i stopped taking it..took me a while to figure it out but my mood balanced out after a few weeks and it was nothing too dramatic.

All in all i found I got good gains and found it is reasonably priced.

really? ok, cool. It's so long since I've ordered supplements on-line that I have no idea what the craic is now :D

It's still classfieid a medicinal product by the IMB though ;)

Yep. You can get whatever you want from the uk, and i mean anything!

Ah its still classified but you can still get anythign that is classified from the uk. BSN no Explode being a good example.

    +1

The only thing is if you ask when somethign will be back in stock, they say 2 weeks and they will never have it back in stock.

Uniliver tabs, i asked twice and both times they said 2 weeks. I then said they had already said that a month ago before the first email and they said it was a technical error that a shipment didnt arrive, guess what, still not in stock haha, dont see the point of telling lies to customers

Technically though (and I have to be technical, it's the boring part of being a Mod :D) you shouldn't import from the UK, because of its IMB status so we can't officially condone that here.

True (ya gotta love the technical) :D

Us law abiding irish will more than likely "not" do the above haha , we are very law abiding.......... when we want to be.

I have just started 3 week cycle of Animal Stak which has tribulus and 2 other herbs to boost test levels(avena sativa&Longjack),i ordered it online from UK also.
I have also just read a few articles from ''Brink's Bodybuilding Revealed'' book that says it is kinda bogus and just another massive marketing plow by supplement companies,as the research done does not prove alot. But what the heck worth a try, even if it's a placebo i feel like it's working,i dont see myself using this long term, just bought 2 3 week cycles to see what the craic is for myself.

I find this site to be very good. They charge £10 for delivery, no matter if the order is £20 or £200.

    Bodybuilding Warehouse

Link to their own brand Tribulus

£10 is a bit expensive, but good if you were buying a years worth of stuff

So general consensus is not worth the money? , lot of conflicting evidence out there with regards to ZMA and Triblus , looking to up test production without juicing. Might give it a miss if the view is it ain't worth it.

just give it a go, might do something for you, no harm in trying it, its fairly cheap on myprotein

From what I have read about Tribulus, its less effective on men under the age of 30, whereas for men over 30 its generally more effective, as your testosterone levels decrease with age.

OP - have tried trib before and got nothing from it but also used ZMA in the past and I loved it. I guess it's horses for courses.

Delivery to Ireland is sadly very expensive. £10 is great value considering how much it costs to ship heavy items over seas. As mentioned, this is also a fixed rate - 2kg or 200kg...it remains the same fixed rate.

ZMA has some decent study data behind it. Tribulus I wouldn't recommend as much as a test booster as a libido enhancer. Tons of feedback and reviews on it being great for people during periods like "post cycle therapy" after prohormone courses, or just when they're generally feeling low, on improving libido.

In terms of general test boosting, you'd be better (imho) looking at things like Forskolin:

"Oral ingestion of forskolin (250 mg of 10% forskolin extract twice a day) for a 12-week period was shown to favorably alter body composition while concurrently increasing bone mass and serum free testosterone levels in overweight and obese men. The results indicate that forskolin is a possible therapeutic agent for the management and treatment of obesity."

Wasnt that carried out by the guy who made the zma supp?
i think its the only one that showed test levels increased, any independent studies said it didnt, i could be wrong

He did the original ZMA (Victor Conte?), and since then there's been a plethora of studies some saying "good stuff", some saying "did nothing".

Based on a relatively low cost and positive feedback for improving sleep, I tend to take it from time to time. I'm working quite a bit now so not getting enough sleep so taking it now. If I was on holiday or during a quieter time, then I wouldn't.

It's probably worth someone trying if they felt like it. You do tend to notice feeling "more rested", but I don't think it's going to give anyone *dramatic* changes.
