    hi well, im dealing with the same problem as the rest of you are - has anyone got a suitable solution to clean limescale from kettles? :confused:

    Boil kettle and add a couple of spoons of citric acid (available from chemists also used for home brewing etc)

    Leave for a few hours (when fizzing has stopped you may need to add more citric acid).

    Depending on how bad the scaling is you may need to repeat the process.

    Lemon juice will also work, vinegar works too but could leave a bad taste if you don't rinse the kettle completely.

    I find that using a britta water filter jug to fill the kettle keeps the limescale away (once you have managed to clean out the limescale thats there)
