    Hi all

Just wondered what people thought of the Snowflake method and software in general for writing novels.

Are they a bit too formal (mathematical) or do they put order and structure on the creative process.

I think the danger is that one can spend too much time on refining the method of writing and being too systematic rather than just getting on with it.

I use the snowflake method for all my longer stories these days. Before that, they tended to be very disorganised, and I'd end up forgetting plotlines, characters etc.
