I'm not sure if there are commonly agreed names for these things, but anyone know where I'd get items numbered Fig 13, 14 and 15 in the first illustration at this link:

Unless you go back to the place where you bought the taps or someone can identify the make of taps I imagine you will have difficulty which is no doubt why you are here.

What i use to do is suggest you change your waste to a click clack or a penny waste which works independent.

the 3 parts of the diagram seems to be an extension and connection piece for part no 16,
so as an alternative you could look to just replace no 16 with a longer piece, and connection block, which i think are more common than the version in the diagram.
anyway measure what length you need to connect No 16 to No 12 and call in your local bathroom showroom, they may have some odd stock, ex display pop up wastes and will be fit to help you out.
everything else in the diagram is quite standard so no need to loosen down or replace any other parts.........

Thanks guys. I've used some tightly wound rubber rings to connect the rods (plus some superglue to stop sliding) and so far so good - but I'll probably be following up on your advice when it all falls apart again in a week or two!

Not a bad fix. if it holds a day or to it should hold a week/month or longer.
