    Hi all, :)

I just need a small few tips. i've been getting my hair dyed blonde (very bright) for the past 2 or 3 years.

and as my debs is coming up in september i was thinking of changing from blonde to brown....i cant say what colour the dress is in case anyone i know posts here as it is been kept a secret til the night....;)

the shade of brown was going to be quite dark....and the dress is very long, down past my ankles.....any ideas on what i should do??

should i stay blonde or get a bit of a change and go brown.

any advice would be greatly appricated,

    thanks,

    :D Kormeera X :D

Well the length of the dress probably won't have much, if any impact on the colour you should dye your hair - it would be more the colour of the dress, tbh.

Though, dying your hair to match your dress seems a bit silly, seeing as you'll have to put up with whatever colour it is, afterwards, too. For me, it'd more depend on whether you think brown would suit your skin tone, and whether you want brown hair in general, not just so you'll look different that one night! :)

    Hiya,
I have been blonde since I started dying it at 14...I'm 23 now! It was a light ash blonde....last year I'd been thinking about going dark and decided to do it last August. I got it done in my usual salon. For the first few weeks I got loadsa compliments. I am quite pale, but always wear tan. I found that even with tan on, I still looked really pale, despite using the same tan I always used when I was blonde. I kept it for a few months cos I didn't wanna ruin the condition of my hair. I went on hols to Oz in Nov and hated all my pics cos being dark just wasn't 'me'. It took me about 6 months to go back blonde, cos I had to keep getting full heads of highlights. My hairdresser said they couldn't do my usual all-over blonde tint as my hair would break. It's only in the past 2 months I'm back to my old colour!
I'm not trying to put you off doing it, it's just that it is a big decision, and if you decide you don't like it, you can't just go back blonde overnight. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I tried it, but just regarding the fact that your debs is coming up, I wouldn't rush into it!
Also, my fellow blonde friend went dark the same time as me, in Peter Mark. She asked for a medium brown. When it was done, no joke, her roots were nearly still blonde, and the ends were nearly black! It was shocking...she had to go back n get a full head of highlights to even out the colour! So if you are gonna get it done, make sure ya leave some time, in case of anything like this!
    Good luck!

aww thanks. i was thinking of that actually. like what if i dont like it ya know...and i am also really pale, and if i dont like it, it will take ages to go back to blonde, i was thinking about it, and i think i might just go a brighter shade of blonde and leave it at that, there is no point in messing up something just for one night or two and then having to live with it for a good few months afterwords.....thanks a mil for the advice, much appricaited! :)
