Does anyone else have this issue, I used to have it on my old box and recently got a new HD box and have same issue.
Basically when you press to switch the channel there is a big delay before it does so and also the screen is black for a few seconds before coming on?

Oh Yeah I have this alright.

Now I switched from Sky HD and it's like trading in a new Merc sports car for a used HiAce van. Its a bloody disgrace!

People on customer care line try their best when you call, but they know the score, its just tough luck.
Been told there is a new update of the EPG and it might be better:D

Haha couldnt have put it better myself :D

Plugging it out from the wall wont make any difference, its just disgracefully poor hardware and/or software.

Try doing a factory reset. Mine improved a lot when I did it as advised on the phone by one of their agents. I'm not beside it at the moment but you should be able to find the reset option through settings. when asked for a code, enter 131 and when it resets you should have a faster working box. By the way, I didn't lose any of the programmes I had recorded.

That code may change depending on where you are; the proper code will be on a piece of paper they send you out.

Out of curiosity whenever I see a UPC box in someones house, I try to have a play with it. I've yet to find one that wasn't slow and laggy.

I just got the HD box and in the manual, the code they give for all factory resets is 131. Same code worked for standard box. The HD box is a flyer by the way.
