    Hi all,

Can anyone tell me am I better off going with specsavers to use their two for one offer or is the offer not as good as I think it is?

I basically need two pairs of glasses. Will be getting a free eye test under prsi so figuring out where to go.

I am in Blanchardstown and there is a vision express in the shopping center but I will travel further to a specsavers if it is worth it.

I am not looking for anything special in designer glasses or anything and would be spending like €100.

I will also be looking to get a trial of contact lenses aswell though whether that makes a difference.

    Thanks for any help/advice.

Or you could go online and get 5 pairs for your budget here. And that would include delivery and an antiscratch treatment on all 5 pairs:D

Get your free eye test and ask for your prescription and PD (pupil distance) and away you go as simple as that.

Sorry I have read your post again. Do you require seperate pairs for distance and reading? You kind of imply in your post. If so you cannot buy a pair of distance and get the readers free it doesn't work like that you would get a free pair with your distance and a free pair with your readers having paid for a distance pair and a reading pair. So you will walk out with four pairs of glasses.

If you need one pair for distance and one for reading, there is a 45e supplement on the 2 for 1 offer. (offer starts at 89e)

With regards contact lenses- its 32e for a fit- which includes the optician testing the lenses and finding one that suits you best and that you like, a trial of these, a session on how to put them in and take them out (cleaning if necessary) and any appointments for lenses are free for a year after your initial appointment.

Also, if you decide to go ahead an buy lenses, if you buy in bulk, you can get 1/2 price spex, and possibly consider a cheaper pair for your second pair.

I would not recommend Specsavers for contact lenses fitting.
I thought they were fine until I went elsewhere and I would not go back to specsavers for them again.
