Where to buy Preserve Jars

    Does anyone know of a company like http://www.crocksandpots.co.uk/ in Ireland?
    I will post this to cooking as well but I thought maybe a few people here may have pointers

    Most good cookware shops will sell Le Parfait preserving jars, there are a couple of different types one has a rubber ring and clamp fitting the other has a metal screw down lid.
    There is also German Leifheit brand jars available.

    If you put the (boiled) lids onto ordinary, sterilised jam jars fast enough, while the jam is very hot, the heat will pop down the button and keep it as well as commercial jam.

    I don't know whether you could use them for preserving though.

    Thats what I have done to date, but from what I have read, metal lids will taint the taste
