    Hi my friends,

I am wondering...is there any group of people in Kilkenny who meet and talk with a therapeutist? Talking therapy for people with eating disorders...depression...

    I need help.

    M.

    Hi m

I don't know much about anorexia or what support there is, voluntary or otherwise.

I reckon you're best bet is to talk with a doctor, do you have a GP that you feel you can talk to? If not then make an inquiry to the county clinic on James green.

To be honest I have no idea where you'd start. I did a quick google for links to anorexia in Ireland and this is one site I found:
    http://www.bodywhys.ie/

I still think discussing it one to one with your doctor is the best way to start.

Best of luck with it, if this is your first step to dealing with it, then I hope the second step follows soon and next one etc....

as above theres body whys, theres also a food specialist in St Dymphna's Carlow but your GP needs to refer you to them.

also there is OA overeaters anonymous, that hold meetings which deal both with over eating and undereating.

portlaoise or abbeyleix would probably be your nearest meetings, you can pm me if you like and I can possibly put you in contact with others that may be able to help.

Good luck and well done on making this step

Had few friends with eating disorders and traditional therapy(psychoteraphy etc.) was just a waste of time. Even if there was some improvment it didnt last more then few weeks and then they were back to what they had been doing. NLP coach and hypnotherapist helped. Worked much quicker too.
